Description

Built tough for real-world use. Our 4x4 Universal Side Steps are a weld-together kit designed for flat tray utes and 4x4s — made from heavy-duty 42.2mm mild steel tube and finished with four laser-cut 5mm aluminium checker plate step plates.

Each step plate is precision laser cut with the DIY Customs logo cut clean through the centre — a premium finish that goes well beyond a sticker. The result is a functional, great-looking side step that you've built yourself, to last.

Mounting Options

Universal Chassis Brackets — Laser-cut mild steel brackets suit box chassis rails from 100mm to 200mm in height and up to 150mm in width. Best for most 4x4 and ute chassis.
Weld-on Chassis Brackets — Flat plate brackets for welding directly to your chassis. Ideal if you want a clean, permanent fitment.
Flat Bar Brackets — Simple 50mm x 5mm flat bar included for you to fabricate your own mounts. Maximum flexibility for custom setups.
No Mounts — Tube and step plates only. Choose this if you have your own mounting solution or are integrating into an existing build.
